If you think of the quintessential rock song and you’ll likely come up with “Freebird”. The classic hit was among the song-list of southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Former Skynyrd drummer turned artist Michael Cartellone will be showcasing his work in Orlando today.
His works include acrylic, mixed media and classic rock inspired drum head originals. The artist will also be presenting some of his favorite pieces including a Charlie Chaplin portrait. Cartellone was inspired to create this work (which normally hangs in the Chaplin Museum in Switzerland), by his lifelong admiration for the silent film star. Some of his new works such as his Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando drum-head's will be also available for purchase.
The Cartellone collection will be showcased at the Wentworth Gallery located in the Millenia Mall. Fans of his work can see his work and meet him between the hours of 2pm through 5 this afternoon.
